A Community League Promoting Involvement and Enrichment

Our History

The idea for Edmundton Southwood Community League took shape during a meeting that was attended by 49 residents on March 18, 1990. They were frustrated due to the lack of recreational facilities and programs to meet the needs of the area’s population, which was rapidly growing. This is when the community league was established.

Committees were then struck: social, fundraising, sports, and memberships. In addition, a delegate was appointed to the Mill Woods Cultural and Recreational Facility Association (MCARFA). This group was organized to assist all residents of Mill Woods through their community’s capital projects.
